Anxiety has continued to rise over the increasing number of coronavirus in Nigeria as the country recorded 338 daily infections on Sunday.
The latest figure puts the country’s total coronavirus infections at 5,959, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) which confirmed the figures.
Of the 338 new infections, Lagos recorded 177 cases, Kano 64, Abuja 21, Rivers with 16, Plateau and 14, Oyo 11.
Others are Katsina 9, Jigawa 4, Kaduna 4, Abia 3, Bauchi 3, Borno 3, Gombe 2, Akwa Ibom 2, Delta 2, Ondo 1, Kebbi 1 and Sokoto 1.
However, Nigeria has also recorded improvement in the number of recovery cases and 1,594 people have been discharged after testing negative at the isolation centers. The country has lost 182 to the pandemic.
