The President of the National Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) Professor Bello Mohammad Agaie has died of coronavirus complications in Sokoto, Nigeria.
Prof. Agaie who died on Tuesday was a Professor of Pharmacology at the Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto and also a Prince of Agaie Kingdom in Niger State where the father was an Emir.
In a statement, Dr Daminabo Gloria, the Publicity Secretary of NVMA, said Professor Agaie was an inspirational leader.
“The Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) regrets to announce the passing on of her National President, Professor Bello Mohammed Agaie, an inspirational leader per excellence devoted to the advancement of the Veterinary Profession.
“The No. 1 Veterinarian in Nigeria passed on today May 12, 2020. His relentless service to the profession and humanity will forever be remembered.” He stated.
