Nigeria on Friday recorded 245 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing total infections to 7,261.
Through its Twitter handle, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said that out of the 7,261 confirmed cases, 5,033 are active cases, 2,007 treated and discharged while a total of 221 deaths were recorded in 34 States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the NCDC, Lagos still remains at the top of the list of infections and recorded 131 new cases on Friday.
Other states that recorded new cases include Jigawa, Ogun, Borno Kaduna, Oyo, Rivers and Ebonyi States.
Other States are Kwara, Katsina, Akwa Ibom, Sokoto, Bauchi and Yobe.
The rest with new cases include Anambra, Gombe, Niger, Ondo, Plateau, the FCT and Bayelsa.
