The increase in testing capabilities has continued to expose the high number of covid-19 infections in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced a daily record of 779 cases of the virus on Saturday, bringing the total in the country to 24,077.

Of the 779 cases, Lagos recorded 285 cases to lead the surge, followed by Rivers, with 68 cases, FCT Abuja 60 cases, Edo 60 cases, Enugu recorded 56 and Delta 47.

So far, 8,625 have been discharged with total number deaths put at 558.
