The family of former Oyo State governor Abiola Ajimobi today postponed his burial to yet to be mentioned date.
ALSC had this morning reported that the late senator who died Thursday would be buried today. But Ajimobi’s spokesman, Bolaji Tunji announced the postponement of the burial, saying it was the decision of his family.
Tunji said the family would soon announce the funeral arrangement, adding however that the burial will be private in order to comply with covid-19 protocols.
“The funeral arrangements will be announced soon by the family but it will be observed privately so as to be in accordance with the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines,” he said and appealed to sympathisers, who have been thronging the residence of the late politician to continue following NCDC guidelines by washing their hands, using face masks and keeping social distancing, among others.
