Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has thrown his weight in support of the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Edo state political development, arguing that the party is more worried about legality than any other consideration.
He said this during a media interactive session with working journalists in the state, held at Africa House, Government House, Kano.
“Our party, the APC, is very conscious about the legality aspect of it. Not any other consideration. You remember Bayelsa state governorship election? We won the election, but the issue of legality took away that victory from us,” he argued.
According to the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, Ganduje explained further that, “We are more worried about legality. I am sure that the national headquarters of our party is doing what it takes to win the election. We have all our strategies in place,” and challenged that, such political ups and downs are very common in politics.
He added that-“What is happening there, is nothing to be afraid of, thinking whether it could cause any harm. There is nothing like that, we are putting everything in place to get our victory.”
