A youth group under the aegis of the Niger Delta Deliberators (NDD), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint Chief (Dr.) Nengi James-Eriworio to fill the vacuum of the Special Adviser and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP.
According to the group, the recommendation of Chief James-Eriworio came as a result of the body’s wide spread consultation with stakeholders and its members across the entire Niger Delta states
The President General and Secretary of the group, Bar. Okorodas Kenneth and Bar. Daubriyaibo Epebiyeri in a Recommendation Letter to President Buhari, pointed out that there is the need to quickly appoint a substantive Special Adviser to the President and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Program to ensure a proper coordination of the Amnesty Program that will bring about the much desired peace and development in the Niger Delta in line with the law Establishing the Presidential Amnesty programme.
The letter reads: “We write as representatives of Niger Delta Youths under the umbrella of the above mentioned body World Wide to recommend Chief (Dr.) Nengi James as Special Adviser/Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
“This recommendation came as a result of the body’s wide spread consultation with its members across the entire Niger Delta States and Stakeholders in the Niger Delta.”
