Nigerians have been warned to prepare for the second surge of the dreaded coronavirus which is expected to hit the country beginning from this August.

The warning was handed over Monday by the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on the COVID-19 Dr. Sani Aliyu, at a media briefing in Abuja.

He said- “Specifically, we urge businesses that are reopening to align themselves to our efforts by establishing and practising COVID-19-sensitive business precautionary measures.

“We eventually have to reopen, but we can only do so if we reopen safely. It is quite clear, as we can see from the other parts of the world, that certain countries are now going back into lockdown because of the pandemic coming back, otherwise called recruitment or what we call a second wave.”
