Enugu state government has demolished the house of an architect that pulled down the Enugu airport fence on Wednesday 12 August. The house was at Eziokwe Street in the Community Estate area of Trans-Ekulu, in Enugu East.
It would be recalled that the Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Seriki had on Thursday frowned at the fact that an Enugu resident pulled down perimeter fence of the Akanu Ibiam International airport and threatened that the federal government would prosecute the perpetrator for causing security breach.
But officials of the Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority (ECTA) however demolished the man’s house in an operation supervised by ECTDA Chair, Mr. Joseph Onoh.
Mr. Onoh said the house was standing on a water channel and needed to give way.
