The Sokoto state governor was said to have agreed with Shaibu and charged the governor to release funds for the election, before the one coming from the national body of the PDP. He also pleaded with Shaibu to be calm and continue is efforts at winning the coming election.
It would be recalled that ALSC had reported on Saturday that Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Phillip Shuaibu had a shouting match while having stakeholders meeting and that Shuaibu had threatened to dump the governor for nonchalant attitude towards the coming September governorship election.
We also stated in the report that Shuaibu accused Obaseki of not releasing funds for the various commi8ttees set up by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for the election.
However, on Sunday, we also reported Crusoe Osagie, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki on Media and Communication Strategy, saying the story of misunderstanding with the two leaders was a lie.
