Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, CFR reached the age of 60 on July 28, 2020. He was born in 1960, the same year Nigeria got independence from British rule.

Although the renowned economist who is also a member of the British Department for International Development’s International Advisory Group chose not to celebrate the birthday due to the coronavirus pandemic, many people from around the world sent him messages through various communication outlets including social media platforms.

There were also letters from individuals and corporate organizations felicitating with him as well as praying for a better future of higher service to the nation and to humanity.

ALSC newspaper has stumbled on one of the letters, this one written by Africa’s richest man and President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.

In the letter, the multibillionaire, Dangote saluted Soludo, saying he was proud to be friends with the globally recognised and multi-award winning economist for his “various outstanding achievements in the course of your sterling career as a respected Nigerian economist, a professor, a one-time Governor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and now as a member of the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) for the President.”
