Some lecturers of federal universities and other higher institutions in Nigeria will no longer receive salaries from the federal government following their failure to enroll in the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS).

The government had since last year directed that all federal establishments should enroll their staff in IPPIS which is a policy measure aimed at stemming corruption in the country’s salary scheme.

To that effect, the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has informed accounting offices of federal tertiary institutions about the new development.

This was conveyed through the director IPPIS, Nsikak Ben, in a letter dated October 8, 2020, to the tertiary institutions.
