After several failed attempts, hoodlums finally had their way and burgled the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) grain reserves located at Gwagwalada and Idu communities.
Several attempts by mainly young people to burgle the palliatives storage facilities over the week were scuttled by the Police and other security agencies until yesterday, Sunday when they overpowered the authorities, invaded the grain stores and carted away foodstuffs.
According to the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu Candido, the thieves overpowered the few security personnel on ground.
He said: ‘”The hoodlums numbering over 300 overpowered the security personnel that were on ground. They broke the warehouse and carted away several bags of grains.”
