Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani Kayode has expressed sadness over the crash today, Sunday, of a military aircraft after to took from Abuja International Airport on its way to Minna, Niger State.
The aircraft, a Beechcraft BKingAir 350i crashed while on its way for military operations related to the rescue of the kidnapped students of Kagara secondary school.
Reacting through his twitter account, Fani Kayode wrote- “The plane crash that took the lives of 7 of our compatriots in Abuja today was a sad and horrific tragedy of monumental proportions.
“My prayers are with the families of those that were killed.
“I call for a thorough investigation into the circumstances and cause of the crash.
“May the souls of those that were lost rest in peace.”
