The national leadership of the All Progressives Alliance (APGA) has raised the alarm over alleged plan by one Jude Okeke to induce a particular judge, in order to influence a process to undermine the party ahead of its scheduled primaries for the November governorship election.
The primary election is scheduled to take place next week, June 23.
In a statement by APGA National Publicity Secretary, Tex Okechukwu and made available to African Community News, the party said it has reliable information that Jude Okeke and others, have concluded arrangements to initiate legal proceedings in Abuja with the aim of declaring APGA leadership illegal in order to truncate next week’s primaries.
The party however assured it members that its leadership is intact and totally focused on delivering free, fair and transparent governorship primary election next week.

“Information reaching the leadership of our great party, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) led by Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, the legally and constitutionally recognised National Chairman of APGA, is that JUDE OKEKE the famous political impostor and his co-travellers have concluded arrangements to compromise a particular judge in the judiciary to recognise the so-called JUDE OKEKE and his group after an unsuccessful attempt earlier through an unpopular and failed press conference and social media propaganda to hijack the leadership of APGA.
“It was reliably gathered that the group have concluded plans to initiate a frivolous suit in either the High Court of FCT or the Federal High court with a view to obtaining an exparte Order of Injunction or Mandamus against the leadership of the party. It is sad that with the prevalent concern about the integrity of the judiciary, Jude Okeke and his hirelings are still angling to put the judiciary in the negative spotlight by their latest desperation.
“Our great party however remains committed in its belief in the integrity of the judiciary as the last hope of the common man. We have further forwarded a letter of concern to the National Judicial Council (NJC) on the latest development.
“We assure our members, teeming supporters and indeed the general public that the leadership of APGA under Ozonkpu Victor Oye remains focused ahead of the Anambra State Governorship Primary scheduled for June 23, 2021 .
“We believe that hardly will the judiciary allow itself to be compromised in this present administration.”
