Fr. Camillus Ejike Mbaka, the spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), has been banned from commenting on partisan politics. The ban was placed on him by the Catholic Church.
A letter conveyed by Callistus Onaga, Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese to Mbaka also informed the controversial clergy that the Adoration Ministry premesis has been converted to a chaplaincy.
Following the development, Mbaka will no longer solely oversee the activities of the ministry as its spiritual director.
By making the Adoration Ministry a Catholic chaplaincy, it would be under the control of the Enugu Diocese and gives the bishop the power to appoint a chaplain to oversee its operations.
The bishop further stated that he can appoint any ministerial officer “to assist the chaplains to oversee the pastoral activities of the ministry.”
