A senior immigration officer, Abdullahi Usman who was implicated in the illegal raid of the Abuja home of Supreme Court Justice, Mary Odili has been arrested by the Police.

Sources told African Community News that the arrested officer would be taken to court this week, alongside a journalist, banker, lawyer, a fake policeman and seven others.

15 suspects were arrested and paraded for allegedly taking part in an illegal raid on the home of Odili, Nigeria’s second most senior judge.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba while speaking with The Punch, said approval had been given for all the suspects to be arraigned.

The Punch the Police spokesman as saying- “Yes, it is true. An immigration officer was also arrested. Approval has been given for all suspects to be arraigned.”

It will be recalled that some ‘security operatives’ on Friday 29th October, 2021 stormed the Maitama home of the Supreme Court Judge, Mary Odili in Abuja.

The operatives were said to have gone to the judge’s home to execute a search warrant as part of investigations into her husband, Peter Odili, who is a former Governor of Rivers State.

The security operatives, who came with a search warrant, were said they received information on “illegal activities” going on in the house.

It later turned out that their operations were illegal which has resulted to investigations being carried out by the Police hierarchy.
