A former school principal Comfort Kiya, who was set a blaze by her son, has died on Christmas eve.

The youngman, Steven Jiya, an alleged drug addict, committed the dastardly act  in Minna, Niger staye.

Comfort was said to be in her kitchen at her residence in the Darussalam area of Minna when the incident happened.

While the incident happened on Monday, the woman died yesterday, on the eve of Christmas.

Comfort was a former principal of Government Girls’ Secondary School, Sabon Wuse and later served in the same capacity at the Maryam Babangida Girls’ Science College, Minna.

The buy, Steven reportedly returned from Suleja on Monday, December 20, and poured petrol on his mother while she was in her kitchen. The attack was said to be unprovoked. Although the boy was said to have made several attempts in the past to harm the woman.

After the attack, the woman was rushed to Minna General Hospital where she was receiving treatment before she died Friday.
