The Imo state police command has claimed responsibility for the gestapo abduction of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 governorship election in the state.

Uche Nwosu who is a son inlaw to former governor Rochas Okorocha was abducted earlier today by men suspected to be unknown gunmen who shot sporadically for minutes. He was forced into the boot of a van used to take him away.

The shooting and abduction was however recorded by many people who shared it in social media as abduction.

However, the Imo State Police command has this afternoon issued a press statement claiming there was no abduction but that Uche Nwosu was arrested by operatives.
